Double Booking Too…

The story behind the second diary is not because I kept filling up my kitchen one, it’s because I now have a study of my very own, for the first time ever.  Empty nest does have its advantages!  This is a pretty little desk calendar that cannot be toted.  Ostensibly it was to keep track of my Toginet weekly radio show and its guests.  In actuality what is happening is I write everything down in it that comes across my email, or the phone I have at my elbow.

The result of this secondary diary is scary because it is not always synchronized (just couldn’t figure out how to spell synched! It is with an h!) with the one downstairs, and both of them are getting fuller and fuller with their own “must do’s”.  Upstairs I notice I have all my mass servings and linen washings, alb and cassock launderings, ministry care visits, plays and films, and other fun stuff written.  Downstairs I have the birthdays, test dates, barista schedules, recipes, dinner suggestions, oil changes, jazzercise attendance tracking, hair appointments, the next time to go to Sam’s and children’s days off from work, that kind of thing.  So you can see immediately that depending on where I am in the house I could easily run the risk of missing something utterly important!  Which I very nearly did until I caught myself slated to help my son move, while having lunch with a friend and going to dinner club!

More about that next time.  For now join me this afternoon at 4pm CT on Toginet.com and listen to me nattering away as The Sociable Homeschooler with guest, Larry McNeny, talking about his days on the road with The BeeGees, Eric Clapton and many more…
