Life is a Latte…

Pouring lattes is a skill, rather like life, it takes plenty of practice, spawns challenge after challenge and calls for a lot of laughs!

I enjoy the photos Daughts sends me and as a family we attempt to title the frothy milk art,

Holy Spirit Dive Bombing a Heart

Holy Spirit Dive Bombing a Heart

and I find meaning.

The day I received this one, unbidden, the Holy Spirit had dive bombed my heart causing me and hubs to pull over and help an elderly lady that evening who had just smashed her van into a small car when she thought her green light was a left turn arrow.  The man who stopped with us was having heart surgery the following morning.  It turned out he knew the woman from church.  We sat together on the quilt I’d pulled from my trunk swapping stories and pledging to pray for each other and waited for the paramedics and her daughter to arrive.  We all agreed it was a God thing.

A Peacock Feather in Hot Chocolate

This feathery creation reminds me of my son and his wife who have nine birds and are busy establishing a business to raise awareness of those beautiful winged creatures that dwell with us on earth.  Each time I visit them I am reminded of our God given task at creation to be stewards of all who walk, and swim and flower and fly with us on our journey to heaven.

Psychedelic Heart To Go

Psychedelic Heart

This heart looks to me as if it is singing a new song to the Lord.  It shouts, Rejoice!  And rejoice I do in the love I bear for my children, my husband, my friends and my blessed life.  Amen to the psychedelic heart, we need more of those lattes.

Steady Heart

Artichoke Heart

This looks like the cross section of an artichoke heart.  It pictures the hidden workings of my heart revealed.   As a child of God I am called to be transparent and this beautiful coffee my star barista has created encourages me to walk the talk and not risk rotting beneath the beauty of my exterior.  We are all called to remove the mask and be bold enough to present ourselves as a perfect sacrifice to the Lord.

English Thistle

English Thistle

An English thistle is tough and lovely, purple in color it withstands all the buffeting of the world and thrives in dry and rocky places or wet marshes, or fiercely sunshiny landscapes.  its uprightness urges me forward in the face of adversity because when God is for me who is against me.  I need this coffee every day!

Ahh Deliciously Drinkable

Ahh Deliciously Drinkable

And when we continue our practice perfection is our reward.

This perfect heart atop a delicious coffee tells Daughts’ customers they have been shown love.

Isn’t that the message the Sacred heart of Jesus brings too?
