Retro…

I went into my iTunes store and looked up some ‘best of’ albums.

Hubs had watched a special on Simon and Garfunkel and admitted he would like to hear more of them because when they were hot he was into Jefferson Airplane, Loving Spoonful, Chicago, The Who and Cream.

Well, not so much into them as working for them so he had to be biased.  Now he can switch affiliations without the risk of losing his job.

In the iTunes store on my iPod, I found a couple of Simon and Garfunkles and carried the list into hubs.

He scrolled, with my help, through the songs and smiled.

“34 songs for £10.00 that’s 17 a side.”

“17 a side?”  I scoffed.  A scoff is good; a cross between a sneer and an eye roll, neither of which are allowed in our house now that we are a completely teenage-free zone.

“Yes,” hubs snorted back.

“What are you talking about, it’s a CD not a record?”  He still looked confused, “you don’t turn a CD over…” I clarified.

“Oh yes,” he remembered, “I was thinking it would be a record since the originals were!”

How confused we old folks get with the changing of the times.
