You know I love the zig-zag, web making, spiders.
Commonly known as garden spiders.
Well here’s one on our screen door who decided to use the grid to make a perfectly hexagonally shaped web…
It looks very pretty!
‘But not at all practical,’ I thought.
Webs are supposed to be hanging in midair to snare their prey…
Even I, a non-spider, knows that!
‘It must be juvenile spider,’ I thought.
Until I noticed, as I was passing through the screen door, there was indeed a space between the web and the screen.
I had accidentally touched one of the support threads and set the spider to vibrating vigorously in an effort to catch whatever it was that had come too close.
Not so impractical after all!
