Tomatoes in December…

When the weather turned cold this year, for a day or two last month, I reluctantly brought a few plants into my office/yoga space.

In my gratitude journal I spoke of perhaps being rewarded with a crop from the tomato plant that was struggling to survive its rapid growth with no energy left to bear its cherry red fruit.

My positive outlook was rewarded.

Each morning as I pick up my yoga mat I am greeted by this happy sight,

Tomatoes

They cluster excitedly among the green asking to be picked.

I comply and carry them into the kitchen for my evening salad.
