Water Trough…

It has been dry at Footlights.

I haven’t seen a roadrunner in months.

A neighbor said she has put out water on her land to attract the thirsty wildlife and I thought,

“Aha, I have a horse trough…”

So I filled it up and placed it in my front garden where I can watch any activity from my office window.

So far the only creature I have attracted has been Charlie as she looks furtively around to see if anyone is watching!

before taking a long, satisfying drink…

Oh, well…

Maybe the road runners will eventually find it!
