We are painting the inside of our house.
Remodelling they call it here but to me re-modelling means taking something apart and putting it back together again.
Painting walls is called “decorating” where I come from.
We are decorating our house. We have hired someone else to do the re-modelling!
Our fiance son is helping us, for money, but his start time does not coincide with ours! So for the most part hubs is wielding the rollers although I did help for an hour or two.
Daughts decided one evening, when everything had been cleared away, that she would paint her bathroom.
We couldn’t pass up an offer of work so hubs valiantly arose from his chair and got together paint and implements,
“What would you like to paint with, a roller or a pad?” he asked.
She giggled, I giggled, he looked bemused.
“What kind of pad?” I asked lightheartedly, “Kotex, Always, Stayfree?”
“Ok enough Mum!” she reprimanded me sternly but couldn’t keep the giggles at bay.
Hubs was lost!
She changed the subject.
“What’s for dinner?”
Hubs brought her in the paint and pad.
While she was sloshing emulsion her dad got cooking. Chicken, cheese and veggie paninis. He’s a good man!
Daughts came downstairs to get a re-fill and check the dinner offerings,
“No chicken on my panini please,” she said.
“Just the veggies and cheese?” said hubs, “A Vagini. That didn’t sound right either!” he chuckled!
So he had got the pad play on words!
We all laughed!
