Wretched Car Two…

Just to say, the air tube resonator was not the answer to our car problem.

In fact duct tape very nearly did a better job than the pricey part.

Except it looked tacky and needed replacing every 10 miles!

I didn’t even have to be behind the wheel for it to start playing up within moments of starting the engine and nosing down our drive.

Thoroughly despondent by now we dropped our wretched car back at the shop and rented a Nissan.

This model had a key for the ignition, a gear lever and a number plate from Arkansas.  It was quite boxy and very economic with fuel.

The next prediction we had from our mechanic was the Throttle Actuator Motor,

“It keeps sticking in place,” he explained, “causing it to stutter when pulling away.”

A mere $650.00 to replace the part.

This was feasible since when I put my foot down on the accelerator and nothing happened I would think,

“Hey, something’s wrong with this pedal…” Wouldn’t you?

Easy enough to say in hindsight now we’ve replaced just about everything there is to replace under the hood.

The next day we were called  to pick it up.

While heading over to return our rental back it spluttered again so back we went.

“No problem, it needs some adjustment…”

Off Hubs and his friend went with the computer attached, tweaking as they drove.

It ran brilliantly all the way home.

This morning the news is not so good.

We need prayers.

Not for our car but for our sanity.
