Today is that day when all those who love one another exchange cards, give flowers and chocolates (and other unmentionables perhaps) and generally romance one another.
My youngest, who has left her true love in Texas, diligently thought ahead for this special day and bought her T-Baby a card and put it in the post in plenty of time for it to arrive today.
After all, she was only doing what she would like someone to be doing for her.
Today she was with us in London and she was well fed and loved by her parents but she wanted to get home, her other home, to discover something special in the letter box for her.
Apparently not!
So, what did she do?
She went to the Co-Op next door, bought herself some cider, a Bounty and a rose and she is settling down to some home made chicken pie, courtesy of Chez Laray’s, and “Twilight” on telly.
