I was born and raised in Europe with bidets.
A bidet is that little foot bath look-alike that sits alongside the toilet in Continental and British bathrooms. As a young adult I formulated an appropriate answer to the question that arose when guests to my house encountered this little porcelain companion for the first time,
“It’s for washing the part of your body between your knees and your navel!”
In America I missed my trusty bidet, my underwear suffered from OSR (Occasional Residual Syndrome) no matter how carefully I cleaned up. Where possible I would use the hand washing facilities for a quick whisk but that was a luxury not always available when out in public.
I was utterly thrilled this morning to receive my sample of an enhanced clean routine using Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Toilet Paper and Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Wipes, discretely packaged in a large cardboard box that could well have held a shiny bidet!
Now I can dry wipe, then wet wipe and simply flush to achieve that fresh as a daisy feeling for the rest of the day.
My own personal name for this combo is Bidet To Go.
By carefully folding several sheets of the Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Toilet Paper I can take the combo with me so that my double care routine is not interrupted just because I am caught short away from home.
Here is my name for the routine since “Bidet” is not a word used broadly Stateside,
“JUST DO-DO IT!”
