Levity and Colour for 4th…

This day is not even thought about in England unless you happen to be a couple of Americans abroad.

Which we are!

I thought some nature would suffice for fireworks.

The Coots were showing off with their babies, are they Cootlings or Cootets,

Cootlings

or just plain, Coot?!

Cuties

The goslings have grown up and save for a few loan downy feathers are almost impossible to distinguish from their parentals.

Goslings

This is the cygnet from last year, still with some its brown feathers but for the most part all growed up!

Then this pigeon is a regular on the Victoria to Orpington train!

He or she always knows when to hop off and is undetered by closed doors leading to the platform, casually wandering under the seats and along the gangways picking up crumbs and heading for the next nearest exit!
