Ten Random Facts About Myself…

I attempted this a year ago thinking it would be a quick and easy challenge.

Well it wasn’t!

And for what it’s worth, here I go with:

Ten Random Facts About Myself!

1.  I was born in West Germany.  This always gets the bejeebers going when customs officials read my passport, as if I’m related to Adolf or some such politically incorrect individual.  I was born on a British soil on an Army Base where my parents were stationed after the war.

I am the cool daughter of Conquerors.

2.  I left home at twelve.  I was not a problem child who abused substances.  The conquering parents pursued a diplomatic career that required a social life in exotic countries.  I was packed off to boarding school.

I am the unwitting daughter of Party Animals.

3.  I raced powerful power boats off the rugged coast of an Island in the Channel.  My confident recklessness flipped the Phantom 2000 and I surfaced clutching a spirit of adventure.

I am the thrill seeking daughter of Absent Parents.

4.  I married twice, the first time to get away from my parents the second time to become one.

I am the fruitful daughter of Indifference.

5.  I wear my shabby-chic, frequent London pubs, eat comfort foods, drink dry Champagne or builder’s tea and am equally at home on a grimy bus or in a sleek limousine.

I am the bohemian daughter of Social Climbers.

6.  My stress relievers include moving furniture, keeping quiet and dancing with Hubs.

I am the strong, resilient daughter of World War II survivors.

7.  I am a chief, rarely an Indian and don’t suffer fools.

I am the maverick daughter of Diplomats.

8.  My favorite place to eat is standing up.

I am the free wheeling daughter of Conformists.

9.  I practice yoga and walk the talk in my Christian faith.

I am the liberal daughter of Conservatives.

10.  I drowned my parents in the North Sea when distributing their ashes.  It was not an idyllic scattering.

I am the orphaned daughter of Passed Parents.
