Another New Car…

How many cars does a retired couple need?

When we returned from England we decided we would share one.  In case of emergencies we knew our daughter would reluctantly loan us her car, the lovely Muriel, her sleek, black, Lexus, if she happened to be home when the need arose.

We were enticed by a call from our insurance agent who informed us that the seller of the above Lexus was now selling his wife’s car, also a Lexus.  She was getting his Mercedes.  A not too shabby hand-me-down!

We didn’t want a second car but since I wanted the sleek, black, Lexus in the first place we went and took a look.

We drove the ultimate driving machine and declared it sold!

While signing papers and handing over money our seller suggested we hang on to his phone number because he rotated the cars every few years.  We knew what we could look forward to, a BMW, a Mercedes and a fancy Audi of some sort.

In case you’re wondering, we are still going to have one car between us.  We are selling the Cruiser to our daughter in Corpus.

But in the meantime we are a three person, three car family!

My patience paid off and I’m loving Foxy, my sleek, silver Lexus.
