In contrast to my State Fair visit I joined a friend for a quiet morning at the Dallas Arboretum where artist Dale Chihuly is on exhibit.
The car park hinted at record crowds but when we got inside they weren’t immediately evident. It was mother-child day and they were all coralled for a special event somewhere in the heart of the gardens behind a brick wall.
The park reminded me of lovely English stretches of land close to the Palace in London where city workers took their lunches and strolled on dry days. I was transported to my ancient woodlands where I had spent many a happy hour searching my soul and being awestruck by the wonder of God’s creation.
Today I had a friend with which to share my musings and together we wandered for several hours taking in the glass of Chihuly and the natural beauty of God.
Join me as I roam.
We found the children here among the pumpkins,
and I espied a woman using her iPad as a camera,
An all round interesting and calming day after the bustle of the Fair.
