My friend and I visited the Arboretum to see Dale Chihuly’s magnificent glass display one afternoon.
On the strength of that excursion I bought tickets for the show for the rest of my family.
I wanted to treat them to a magical evening.
How can a place like a public park sell out? But this exhibit did and I had to book our tickets a couple of months in advance.
The night was brisk.
It was dark.
My son took artistic photos on a high end camera that I’ve yet to see.
The ones I took on my humble iPod captured the moments adequately for me.
They will have to suffice for this post!
The cornucopia on water looked like something I would decorate my Christmas tree with.
Something about the boats transported me to a mythical wonderland.
The water lilies were a lesson in perfection.
The red glass stole the show.
The blue spoke of ice and glaciers.
These with seasonal pumpkins reminded me of a spiced latte my daughter makes at Starbucks.
A dandelion fairy clock ready to float into the starlit sky.
And warm orange blossoms to heat up the air.
At the end of it all I think I preferred Chihuly during the day.
What do you think?
