Redken: #Cerafill Solution for Thinning Hair…#Sponsored

I signed up to participate in a Vibrant influencer network campaign for #Cerafill powered and #sponsored by Redken.

Not only is my hair receiving tender loving care I also am being rewarded with a fee for posting this review and expressing my own opinions.

But hold on a minute, the journey that led to this post today started eighteen months ago when I decided to change the color of my hair!

What does that have to do with thinning hair?

Well, for me a lot!  Read on…

I went from auburn,

to white in less than a year!

My mother-in-law was in awe,

“I wish I could do that but my scalp would show through too much!”

I hadn’t thought of that, never having had a problem with pink scalp bleeding through my dark hair.

To be absolutely honest,

pesky white roots every two weeks were my problem back then!

I persevered with my quest to go white, a natural hair color reluctantly inherited from my grandmother when I was still in my twenties and resisted for too many years to put in writing here!

I came up with some nifty cover ups during this growing out period,

ear muffs,

sunglasses worn on my head,

hair bands,

hats!

As my tresses grew whiter I found my age was beginning to show and it wasn’t because of the color of my hair!

Out came the sunglasses again, only this time to disguise the thinning that was occurring on my head, further rubbing in the fact I was no longer twenty-something and…

my mother-in-law was right!

Pink scalp was showing up in my part-line right on cue.

Once I settled in America long enough for my stylist to sharpen her scissors and come to my rescue with a brilliant cut, I was happier,

but the writing was on the wall and the pink prevailed!

Enter Redken who have salons all over America.

I agreed to be a guinea pig for their #Cerafill Powered by Redken thinning hair products for at least two weeks.

I didn’t have to budge from my shower, they sent me samples right to my door.

I’ve been regularly using the shampoo, conditioner, dense fx and scalp refresher since it arrived at the bottom of the stairs of my house-on-stilts a month ago.

The products have definitely made a difference.

For starters my hair is staying on my head instead of gathering in my hairbrush and around my bathtub drain.

My hair is fuller and has stopped showing up uninvited on my clothing!

As it gets longer and heavier I see it glowing with shiny, white luxuriance.

People stop me in shops to comment on my crowning glory; I can no longer slip into a room un-noticed!

My hair and I are excited to be growing the short cut out to the longer look just to feel what it’s like to shake an abundant head of pure, white hair.

I am delighted to have taken part in the Redken and the cerafill range of products designed to make a difference.

They have allowed me to enjoy the way I feel and look because of my thick and healthy hair thanks to the Defy System for Thinning Hair.

I will continue to use #Cerafill system products to enhance my thinning hair so I can shake my gorgeous locks and…

…Dare to be White.

Let’s go through the regimen shall we?

Shampoo: a tiny drop goes a long way, this product lathers!  My hair feels squeaky clean afterwards.                                                  (I have to say I’m not wild about the smell it could be more cosmetically appealing for women.)

Conditioner: my hair is left soft and tangle free.

Dense Fx:  applied to towel dry hair it has a really good applicator making it easy and quick to run along the parting, where the pink shows through; a quick massage and it sets like a styling gel all ready for the blow drier.

#Cerafill Texture Effect:  a quick blast later in the day when natural oils build up puts everything to rights again and leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable as well as looking thick and full.

Go on!  You know you want to.

Try it and experience the magic for yourself.

Is this a texturizing product that adds fibers to your scalp and hair? Does it claim to thicken your hair naturally by stimulating hair follicles? Looked at the website and it sounds like it does both but I’m not sure if it is a healthy approach. Any side effects to note? Thank you.

Love this!!! I decided to go grey last September. Best decision in years!!! As you say, the only dark cloud was the thinning part…… it is driving me to distraction. I will certainly give these products a try.

Blogging about this decision and about everything I am still learning has kept me sane. Thanks for sharing!!!
