Abandoned Infant…

I like to walk around one of the lakes here at Hideaway.

It takes about an hour now that I’ve discovered the direct route.  I used to get all muddled up by trying to navigate the Tanglewoods, back streets through the tall pines, I had been warned, I carried a map, but it was still confusing.

I finally kept going straight, on the road that crosses the lake, until I could no more, turned left and stayed put and it took me all the way to the road that re-crosses the water to the other side.

After a few times I began recognizing houses.  I find I see lots of houses for the first time every circumambulation.  My eye gravitates towards the beauties on the shore but there are some imposing structures that look as though they are deep in the woods although only 1 acre deep.

I like to imagine the interiors and some of the homes have lovely floor to ceiling windows where I can catch a glimpse of a grand staircase or a cosy kitchen.

The gardens are telling too, with no fences it is immediately evident those who employ landscapers, lush, green grass in the wintery sandy soil, an inviting arrangement of benches and tables or a pleasant trickling of water over a stone wall into a pond.

Christmas dots the gardens and lights frame the smaller houses, trees are given an extra twinkle with white chasers, banners announcing the birth, Santas and snowmen standing guard and this…

Infant

Where are the proud parents?

Inside where it’s warm?

Out working?

Jesus abandoned on the lawn…

Go get that baby and give him a 2014 welcome into your heart!

Happy New Year!
