I Write Funny…

My guest today on Toginet Radio, is Debbie Harbeson.  Debbie has a blog called, Homeschooling is Freedom and Fun for Your Family and in it she poses four questions for existing homeschoolers to answer…then she posts them.  She is gathering quite a collection from the world and America….America doesn’t think she’s part of the world, did you know that?

Debbie and I are going to be talking about keeping the humour in homeschooling, or, as in my case, searching high and low for the humour in homeschooling.  In our household my husband is the humourist while I endeavour to keep the smile suppressed; homeschooling is some serious business.  We make quite a pair, only sometimes I tire of being the stuck in the mud, down to earth, other half, so I write funny (I know it should be funnily, but that’s just too pedantic).  And maybe I can persuade my stiff upper lip to quiver, just a little, maybe!

We are also going to splutter our tea over some of the chapters from Debbie’s hilarious book, Okay Kids, Time For Bedlam. Her husband and children shared in the horror of the moment when Debbie announced to them  that she was offering it free online back in 2004 when all this electronic networking was realtively new and harmless.

Today Debbie works from home in her pajamas after spending eight years working in a private reading centre.  All those years of homeschooling breeds a healthy disdain for street clothes and shoes, even Bruno Maglis.

Join us this afternoon at 4pm CT on Toginet Radio.
