We’ve heard nothing from Daughts since Monday when she was asking about banking information for her salary to be directly debited into her account. She was on the ships’s internet for 30 minutes.
With it being a Spanish speaking vessel the avenues of communication are somewhat challenging.
She was not given an awful lot of information beyond where and when to report for embarkation. Without her next to me while talking to her financial institution all of her emailed requests were proving to be impossible!
“May I talk to her and get her permission for me to talk to you?” I was asked by her personal banking officer.
“She’s dancing on a ship in the Baltic!”
“Can she pop into the bank and pick up a deposit slip then?” she insisted.
“No, she’s on a cruise ship for nine months.”
“Can she call me then?” She’s really not listening to me!
“She has no internet, she’s at sea!”
I did manage to get it sorted I think by asking what we could do? Online banking may be the next best thing to sliced bread!
Her brief brush with the internet yielded some good photos though and this is the last I’ve heard!
She moved into her new cabin, a much coveted room with a view.
When her room-mate leaves in October she says she is going to move to the bottom bunk because of having to stretch her computer cord to the nearest plug…but look at the location of the port-hole…
She said the food was going right through her,
which may be a blessing in disguise!
The costumer is one of the dancers and I idly wondered if she sneaks her own laundry in with the washable costumes?
All the dancers are leaving at the end of their six month contracts in October, no extensions have been granted. Her nine month contract is an anomaly. A new cast boards with the choreographer to join Daughts who will be the only one who knows the shows; I’m thinking Potential Head Dancer?
