Continuing the McNeny Picnic Tradition we met the perfect little family outside in a deserted park in Farmersville for a quasi-socially-distant birthday celebration.
We spread a quilt under a tree, ladened it with charcuterie, salad, homemade bread, a selection of pickles and olives, chutneys and jams, sparkling water and bubbly,
and settled in.
We talked of life and love, children and work, the passing of days and years and the uncertainty of our coronavirus future.
It was lazy and still;
Sophie, oblivious of our grown-up chatter and sophisticated food, occupied herself with more important matters such as the paper plates being passed around.
She had her whole world at her feet,
with not a care in the world as long as we were there to attend to her every need and laugh at her food preferences.
Aand take lots of pictures!
