Ever since Daughts appeared in her first recital at the grand old age of five she has wanted to perform on stage.
When she came off after a full 2 minutes under the lights she said to me,
“I want to go and do that again and again and again.”
From the age of two she has loved changing clothes causing my friend, The Well-Heeled Stranger of my homeschooling stories, to say,
“I used to think I had to stay in the clothes I put on when I first got dressed, now watching your daughter transform herself several times during a visit with you I realise it’s all right to change clothes as the fancy takes you!”
When she discovered my make up box she spent many hours experimenting with eye liner, lipstick and blusher with much more aplomb than I could ever manage, and caused many a stir at the grocery store,
“Six going on 21” I’d say with a smile!
Well, her dream of dancing on stage, changing clothes as the fancy takes her and applying make-up with aplomb have come together in one fabulous job with an added bonus!
World travel!
Contracted on the Cruise Ship Mistral she leaves Scotland today for Norway.
After only four day aboard she has danced in two shows already and you can see her tingling with excitement knowing she’ll get to do it again and again and again!
